Preventative Maintenance and Safety Inspection (PMSI) Service

Our PMSI service is a Professional Inspection of your system done on-site at your home twice a year:

  • The Annual Service includes panel cleaning and a certified solar technician’s comprehensive electrical and physical system checks. Validation of system performance and identification of potential issues.

  • The Bi-Annual Service that happens mid-year includes panel cleaning and a visual inspection of your system.

In addition to the annual and bi-annual service, a bi-monthly performance monitoring and system check after an extreme weather event is included at No Additional Cost.

Annual Service Call

Solar Panel Cleaning

  • Why: Dirt, bird droppings, and debris can block sunlight and reduce efficiency.

  • How: Use a soft brush, squeegee, or hose with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive materials or high-pressure washers.

Visual Inspection:

  • Cracks, chips, or discoloration on panels.

  • Loose or corroded connections in wiring and mounting.

  • Signs of pest infestation under or around the panels.

Check for Shading

Inverter Maintenance

What we Check:

  • Ensure cooling systems (if any) are functioning properly.

  • Check for error codes or unusual sounds.

  • Confirm LED indicators show normal operation.

Battery System Maintenance (if applicable)

What we Check:

  • Check battery capacity and discharge rates.

  • Ensure terminals are clean, tight, and corrosion-free.

  • For lead-acid batteries, check and refill electrolyte levels as needed.

Roof and Mounting Hardware Inspection

What to Check:

  • Ensure all mounts, bolts, and fasteners are secure.

  • Check for water leaks or roof damage around penetrations.

Warranty and Insurance Updates
